Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA) conducts a month long Science Workshop for the monks from various Tibetan religious traditions every year. Various topics in science ranging from Classical physics to Contemporary Quantum Physics and in Biology from basic Cellular structure to Neuroscience, are taught during these workshops by Professors and Scientists from the west. Also after-class discussions will be held between the monks and scientists everyday.
We have successfully conducted eight workshops until now and the upcoming ninth workshop will be held at Deer park institue, bir in himachal pradesh from June 14 to July 5 2007. All Tibetan students taking Science in various Indian Universities can apply for this workshop. We have presently allotted five seats for this purpose. During the workshop you may also be asked to assist the monks in classes and other activities as requires. food and lodging will be provided at the workshop facility, you will given traveling allowance from your place of study to the venue. No other expenses will be entertained by the library.
